North Castle and its neighboring towns have many gorgeous places to hike.  The following are a few suggestions:

Mianus River Gorge: Located at 167 Mianus River Road in Bedford, this privately owned preserve consists of over 750 acres and 2.5 miles of trails.  Trails are open from April 1st to November 31st.  For more information click here.

Westmoreland Sanctuary: Located off of Chestnut Ridge Road in Armonk, this privately owned preserve consists of 625 acres and 8 miles of trails.                                            For more information click here.

Eugene and Agnes Meyer Preserve: Located in North Castle and New Castle, this property owned by The Nature Conservancy consists of 247 acres and 6.5 miles of trails. The preserve can be reached from Oregon Road in Armonk or Bretton Ridge Road in New Castle.  For more information click here.

Arthur W. Butler Memorial Sanctuary: Located in North Castle and Bedford, this property owned by The Nature Conservancy consists of 363 acres and more than 5 miles of trails.  For more information click here.

Cranberry Lake Preserve: Located off of Route 22 in North White Plains, this Westchester County park consists of 190 acres and 3 miles of trails.                     For more information click here.   

Betsy Sluder Nature Preserve: Located off of Old Route 22 in Armonk, this North Castle Town owned preserve consists of 70 acres with trails.  For more information click here.
